New Authors
We are always on the lookout for additional code school authors to help us craft courses for new topics and programming languages.
The Publishing Process
Just like you would work with a book publisher to help craft your content into a finished product, the team at Code School provides all the resources necessary to produce a finished course. An author is responsible for:
- Creating a detailed outline of their course content and exercises.
- Producing the educational material which makes it into the videos.
- Helping craft the code challenges on each level.
The Envy Labs / Code School team provides to the author:
- Web design and Branding for the course.
- Editor services for the educational content.
- Film production for the screencasts.
- Course challenge programming.
- Continued support and maintenance for the course.
It is certainly no small venture to create a Code School course, it requires a big initial investment up front to get something out the door. Thus, we are definitely looking for ideas that will sell, and people who can help sell courses. In return, authors will get a royalty. The royalty depends entirely on how much work he or she helps build it.
