Just gotta say, the language of this challenge is (still) quite vague and confusing (seemingly unnecessarily).
Below is what it currently says:
"1. Create a numPriorityCows variable, and then call your countForBreeding() function on each of the four array lists below to calculate the correct total.
- Add an alert message with numPriorityCows in the following format:"
The above is vague enough to be frustratingly confusing, for no apparent reason. It seems better translated as:
"1. Create a numPriorityCows variable that holds the cumulative sum total from running your countForBreeding() function on each of the four array lists below. (OR: "Run your countForBreeding() function on each of the array lists below and have the sum Total of that operation be assigned to a variable named numPriorityCows")
- Produce an alert message that references numPriorityCows and appears in the following format:"
Learning to program is confusing enough without having to wonder what is being asked. The clearer the language; the less unnecessary frustration. This is not personal, it's my primary frustration with 99.9% of such literature online. Codeschool does a better job than many. Still needs work. And yes, I realize this is a pervasive issue and I am committed to being part of the solution in the future.
