Frequently Asked Questions
Can an absolute beginner use Code School?
Of course — with more than 40 courses, there's something for every skill level. For beginners, we'd recommend starting at the top of a technology Path and play each course sequentially. To get a feel for how our courses work and see how they can help your team, try out one of our free courses.
Does a manager have to have a paid seat?
Nope — if don't need to take any courses, you can manage and monitor how your team is doing without taking up any of your team seats.
How do team discounts work?
We love working with teams of all sizes, and we apply discounts according to volume and length of service purchased. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
If I purchase a seat, can I reassign it to someone else?
Managers can easily add and remove seats in their team account so you're only paying for team members currently learning on Code School.
What are the methods of payment?
We accept wire transfer, PayPal, or credit cards, and for large orders, we accept purchase orders. And to make it even more convenient, we offer recurring payment options for PayPal and credit card payments.
Can an active individual account be brought into a team?
Yes! If you invite an existing member of Code School and they join your Team account, all their progress will still be saved to their account and appear on the Team Activity page and Leaderboard. They don't have to create a new, separate account for the team, but if they currently have an active subscription, we'll have to remove it so they can join your Team account.
